Using hands-on experience with homebuyers

our 8 Step Process

8 Step Buying Process:

Starting your home search can be overwhelming. Because of that, I want to be sure that you, and all potential buyers, are familiar with each of the 8 steps we take to ensure the process is as easy and pain-free as possible. This can be daunting, but with Tiger Team RE support and guidance, you will THRIVE in your new, dream home.

1

Discuss plans, Create Your Wishlist

Once you’re ready to begin working together, let’s get to know each other! We’ll meet in person or through Zoom, or over the phone for a Buyer Consultation to help focus your search and figure out what you need and want most in your new home.

2

Pre-qualification

I’ll introduce you to some great mortgage partners who will help you determine your price range with confidence. Expect to dig into paperwork during this step.  You’ll need pay stubs, W2’s, and tax returns. Your lender will do a complete analysis and tell you what you are able to borrow for your home purchase. This is a very crucial part of the process!

3

Listing Alerts tailored to your Criteria

I will get to know you. Moving for a job or need a shorter commute? Got married? Having a second baby? Upgrading or downsizing? At this point in the process, I’ll make sure you are getting notified about any listings you are most likely to be excited about. Make sure you let me know when one (or more) jump out at you so we can move to the next step and set up some tours.

4

Tours and Open Houses

This is the fun part! We’ll set up tours of any homes that have caught your eye from our listing alerts. We can go to open houses together, or you can go alone (just leave your agent's info on the sign in sheet and they will take care of the follow up calls so you don't have to😀) We can discuss how your budget will work and make sure you find the perfect home for you.

5

Make an offer

When you’ve found the right home and are ready to make an offer, we discuss all the terms in depth to make sure we are making the best offer possible considering all details.  Your agent then presents your written offer to the seller. While it’s great to have your offer accepted right away, the seller sometimes comes back to us with a counter offer, or rejects your first offer all together. We will be happy to go through each of these possibilities and explain exactly how we should handle them. After the offer is accepted, you will get your financing in line and move on to the next step!

6

Acceptance, appraisal, inspection

Your offer’s been accepted! Now the home is going to go through inspection and appraisal. The inspection makes sure everything is functioning in the home and there are no major issues. The appraisal is ordered by the bank, and it guarantees that the price matches your loan amount and the condition of the property. These are the finishing steps during escrow before the shiny new keys to your home will be placed in your hands... for good!

7

Closing Day and Getting Your Keys

This is exciting, it’s time to close on your new home! This step will be going through all of the finalized paperwork and a lot of signing your name. Make sure to bring all of the paperwork you’ve been collecting along the way and your down payment money.
